Marc Rebillet & CAPYAC: On A Tuesday  – The only decreed day of the week

Setting the Stage with CAPYAC

Somewhere deep in the internet’s corners, there’s a video of a kid dreaming big, stammering and asking the all important questions.

“Have you ever had a dream that you, um, you had, your, you- you could, you’ll do, you- you wants, you, you could do so, you- you’ll do, you could- you, you want, you want them to do you so much you could do anything?

That’s what my brain was doing all night and the very same spirit of dreaming and doing, set the tone at Eugene’s McDonald Theatre on Tuesday. This article is going to be my attempt to explain to you the fever dream that the evening was.

The Austin, Texas-based trio CAPYAC brought the funk, fuzzy vibes, and an eclectic mix of interpretive dance and music that filled the room with nothing but good times. This multi-talented three-piece busted into “Sexy in My Body,” a song that encouraged feeling sexy in your own body—a celebration of self-love and confidence.

Endless dance moves and slaying guitar riffs masterfully played by Eric peppered their set with a rollercoaster of emotions. Highlights included a funky tune about fancy shoes, an ode to a vacuum cleaner outbreak in Eugene, and bargain TVs—yes, Eugene, vacuum cleaners were very much part of the vibe. Interpretive moves kept the groove alive throughout this energetic journey.

Halfway through, Marc joined the trio on stage to do nothing else but tease us for the maniacal menagerie that awaits, and of course to hand feed the trio lunch meats as anyone knows that  stage performing requires constant fueling! From the shadows of the side stage emerged a mysterious briefcase. Crowd intrigued, CAPYAC investigated, inside….. The best veggie to ever grace a stage…. Celery. Obie playfully tossed celery into the crowd and Delwin asked if anyone got celery that didn’t want any…. pass it along. Then came puppets—Henry the Pig among them—and more dazzling dance moves.

Just when you thought the show couldn’t peak any higher, they surprised everyone with a remote-controlled goose and closed their set with a slow, soulful cover of Miley Cyrus’s “Party in the USA.” This interpretive jam was the perfect capstone to a truly unforgettable performance.

The Loop Daddy Takes Over

If you’ve ever witnessed Marc Rebillet live, you know he’s the “loop daddy” — rocking robes, underwear, and fancy footwear. Eugene was no exception, though this time it was just underwear and a raw, wild energy that captivated the crowd.

Marc hyped the room up from the start with cartwheels, and commanding stares that made everyone go bonkers. Mid-set, he paused the show with a FaceTime call from his fiancée, sharing the moment with the audience before cracking up and diving back into the music.

He launched into an ode to Tuesday — the only day left after “the administration” decreed the  cancellation of all others — and crafted a catchy song uniting everyone through the magic of this particular weekday. Naturally, cheese and crackers became the night’s anthem, inspired by Marc’s favorite viral videos. The enthralling lyrics… “EATING CHEESE AND CRACKERS ON A TUESDAY NIGHT!!” has lived rent-free in my head all week, and I’m quite sure my wife wishes they would start paying or become evicted.

Interaction was at the heart of his set. He chatted with crowd members, including a memorable exchange with a 10-year-old who declared “Free Luigi.” That became another viral-worthy moment as Marc turned it into a song mixing themes of consequence and liberation.

A highlight was a humorous, consent-focused improv loop with Destiny, reinforcing the importance of mutual comfort and respect — all wrapped in Marc’s signature playful style.

High Energy and Unexpected Surprises

The show escalated with a confetti and CO2 cannon explosion, perfectly complementing Marc’s signature blow-up furniture stage setup—a giant pink taco with a cherry on top that was as wild as the night itself.

CAPYAC returned to feed Marc cheese and crackers, cementing the quirky Tuesday-night theme. Delwin, of CAPYAC impressed the crowd by playing a keyboard solo—yes, with A FUCKING baguette as an instrument. This was multi-instrumentalism taken to the next level.

As if that wasn’t enough chaos and creativity, A Marc Super fan and all-around awesome dude, Bui appeared, celery in hand, to freestyle with Marc. Their performance was a freestyle give-and-take, call and response aptly titled “Do You Even Celery, Bro?” The whole crowd joined in on the vegetable-inspired fun.

Marc then invited dancing Loraxes and a dancing Dr. Seuss to the stage, turning the performance into an improvised party where the crowd was invited to join at any moment.

Loop Daddy ended the evening with fan favorite tracks such as: “Work that ass for daddy,” “New Morning Alarm,”  “Girl’s Club”, “Fuck Donald Trump,” and my personal favorite “Flamingo.” Each track brought its own flavor, with soaring dance parties, voice modulations, and political fire. “Flamingo” ended the night with a glowing pink ambiance, building tension and releasing into one final, joyous drop, followed by a thunderous, mutual admiration from the crowd and Marc alike.

A Night of Unapologetic Joy

Between underwear-clad theatrics, stomping beats, and wild confetti bursts, Marc Rebillet and CAPYAC delivered a lesson in playfulness, unapologetic self-expression, and raw connection.

These performers don’t just entertain—they unite rooms, creating environments where joy is infectious, and individuality is celebrated. If you haven’t experienced the loop daddy, and the eclectic brilliance of CAPYAC live, you’re missing out. It’s not just a show; it’s a life-affirming experience.
