According to Steve Juliano, “It’s a bitch to record a live album.” Ain’t that the truth.

I sat down with Juliano and the band at the Hustler Hollywood on Sunset Boulevard to talk about their latest release, Live in Orange County. Entirely self-produced and distributed without the help of their label, Epitaph Records, the album is a raw performance of a sold out show at the Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA.

With tasteful mixing and mastering of David Adam Monroe at Time Bomb Studios, editing savvy of I Am Ghost’s drummer, Justin McCarthy, and artwork by Steve Juliano, the album is polished for the fans. “This album isn’t really for somebody who’s never heard of us…This is for the fans. This is so they can always feel like they’re at an I Am Ghost show,” said Juliano.

The album features 15 tracks, including several of what I like to call, “live B-sides” (songs that a band does not normally perform live). I Am Ghost won’t be releasing anything new for a while but didn’t want to pull a Maroon 5 on us, so you gothy hardcore kids out there, enjoy.

I Am Ghost’s Live in Orange County is available on their official online store at Iamghostmusic.com.
