Oh, a blast to the past of my electric days. This album reminds me of the kids with bright colored hair, mismatched clothes, and excessive piercings. Don’t get me wrong, electronic bands can put on a mean show. Overall, I could really see Electric Six being a band I would’ve been into three years ago. Their musical energy and interesting lyrics could really pull in the crazy, rebel local scene. But watch out! They’re touring internationally.

Now, the album actually wasn’t too bad. They’ve learned to conquer their genre by pioneering with an acoustic guitar and trumpet in a few tracks, as well as slowing down the energy with a few slight ballads. If you’re sporting prismatic hair and mass amounts of rainbow beads, this is the album for you. I couldn’t listen to this album without thinking of high-speed, colorful lights flashing across a stage with 20-something year old men on an insane amount of caffeine leaping across the stage in front of a bunch of 13 year olds. Take that for visual description!
