This morning, I was woken up by my wife to show me Swiss Army Man’s new red band trailer (the best kind of trailers). What is Swiss Army Man, you ask? Think Castaway, but Paul Dano plays Tom Hanks’ character (actually called Hank), Daniel Radcliffe plays Wilson, I mean, Manny. Also, Paul Dano is batshit insane and Manny is a corpse.
With Raddcliffe’s machine gun mouth and mystical hard-on guiding Dano home, this movie better not disappoint. My wife looks at me and says, “It’s like you made a movie!” I wish I had this much talent. This bad boy’s in theatres in LA & NY on June 24th, and across the rest of this beautiful country July 1st.
Bonus fun facts: The soundtrack is composed by Andy Hull & Robert McDowell of Manchester Orchestra and this is directed by Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), which are the same Daniels that directed the Turn Down For What video. Makes sense, right?
