HE SAID SHE SAID EP
Fifth Season Music
7/10

These twerps are from Edmonton, Canada. They play teeny bopper punk rock like whatever else you kids listen to these days. One of the guys actually has some kind of Flock of Seagulls haircut. It’s amazing.

I hate everything about this music, but goddamn the title track is catchy. If they continue to come up with hooks like that they’ll probably be all over fifteen year old girls’ notebooks and making millions in a short while. “Perfect Grave” and “The Shortest Line” suck, but “Beautiful” and “Everyday Late November” are both enjoyable.

Kudos on having the sense to actually release an EP of your best five songs rather than releasing an album of all your terrible songs just because it’s cost effective. Now when you have a full album’s worth of good material you can pretend like those terrible songs never existed.
