Not to be outdone by my Editor in Chief I have compiled my own list of stuff that I want for the 2014 Holiday season. What originally began as a ploy to try and get free stuff for Christmas is still just a ploy for free shit but now it’s also an annual tradition that we love to continue until one of us makes it. So without further ado here is my fairly predictable list.
I can be festive when I put my mind to it!
A 1 year subscription to the WWE Network( with complimentary Roku Stick!)-$199.99: It’s no secret that I am a pretty big fan of professional wrestling. Ever since I was just a little dude I’ve always stood in front of the TV watching as superstars like Hogan grace the screen, inspiring me to flex like a goon and injure my family members by trying to suplex them. Earlier this year the WWE debuted their streaming network and with it came an entire library of matches from the past 30 years. Well now you can relive your favorite era of WWE for a low low price and for a limited time if you buy a year subscription you get a free roku stick! SAY WHAT!?
Weekend Pass to Punk Rock Bowling 2015-$?:Punk Rock Bowling is the annual punk festival that also happens to have a bowling tournament going on the same weekend. Now in it’s 18th year the event organizers are slowly letting out details for the next installment and I have to say that I am pumped to go next year. Only a handful of bands have been announced so far but all I can say right now is FUCKING REFUSED! Sure bands like The Muffs, Murder City Devils, and Rancid are playing as well which is always but FUCKING REFUSED! I missed out on the short run of reunion shows a few years ago and it was heartbreaking but now I have a second chance! So I am taking it. Vegas Baby!
Star Wars Vans-Price Varies: These have been out for awhile yet and I have been lusting over them like crazy since their debut. Even more so now that the Episode 7 trailer came out less than a week ago. However, I have been waiting for the right moment to buy them. I check my local vans store every so often and every time I look and say to myself, “soon”. And why wouldn’t I? Star Wars is awesome, these shoes look so damn good, vans tend to last awhile and not to mention they’re comfy as fuck. Before this years end I shall own a pair, free or not!
Rogue Sriracha Hot Stout Beer-$13.00: While putting some Sriracha sauce on your dinner have you ever thought to yourself, ” Man I sure do love Sriracha sauce but I wish it would get me drunk?” If you are this weird individual(me) then your prayers have been answered. Rogue has just unveiled their latest concoction and it is a joint collaboration with Huy Fong Foods, the company behind the most well known and delicious interpretation of the popular hot sauce. The beer doesn’t begin shipping until next week but you can bet your money that once it’s out people will be buying these buy the dozen and people I mean me.
Vannen Watches-Prices May Vary: Vannen is the company known for making some killer, limited edition watches of all your favorite tv shows and bands. From Against Me to the Walking Dead, if it’s rad they’ve made a watch for it. The only bummer is that they only do one run of a watch so if you miss out the when they first hit then you’re SOL unless you want to try your luck on eBay or something. However, they still have a few rad watches left that have caught my eye, mainly a Walking Dead one and their Hot Water Music watch. Do I really need a wristwatch in this day and age? No, but I don’t need a lot of things that I own anyway. So why the fuck not?
The Batman ’66 Complete Series Blu Ray Box Set-$130: Holy Box Set Batman! That’s right, Adam West and Burt Ward are back and this time they’re on amazing high definition Blu Ray. You can now relive all 120 episodes of the 1966 Batman live action television series at your own leisure for just under $200. Honestly, this is the best gift anyone could ask for this season short of getting Adam West to visit someone’s house to do the Batusi in person. Now if you have the kind of pull to make that happen do that instead, otherwise the box set will suffice.
