Skiba’s become the Wooderson of punk bands; he gets older, but his lyrics stay the same age. I mean, I love me some Alkaline Trio, but “Luciferian Blues?” “Angel of Deaf?!” What is that? Are you 17? The AFI FEST 2010 presented by Audi announces this year’s crown jewels. The festival is springing off with the world premiere of Love and Other Drugs staring Ann Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal  in a Viagra-fueled tale of romance, and plans to end with a bang with Natalie Portman’s pirouetting spiral of self destruction in Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan.

If you’re a fan of comics from the 90’s, you’ll be pleased to hear some surprising titles just got new action figures as part of Shocker Toys’ Indie Spotlight collection. All the toys in the line have a bonus Isz figure from The Maxx to use as target practice. A throwback to the era when MTV still played music and showed cutting-edge alternative animation like Liquid Television instead of reality show douche-bags on a continuous loop.
