This is the second time a book about the Red Hot Chili Peppers has been sent to us, and the second time I have been completely mind-boggled by the amount of people who care that deeply about Anthony Kiedis and crew. It’s fucking weird. Don’t get me wrong, I listened to my share of Blood Sugar Sex Magik, but that was… that was 23 years ago? I was ten when that shit came out. What? Why did my parent’s let me listen to that fucking album when I was ten? That shit’s almost entirely about Kiedis thinking about banging chicks or heroin. WHAT THE FUCK, MOM?! This is bullshit.

That ASIDE, I din’t read any of the interviews, but I looked at some of the pictures. They were whatever. It is just pictures of people at Red Hot Chili Pepper shows. Or not, you can’t tell. It’s just people who may have a RHCP shirt on or a tattoo of the band’s artwork, or maybe it’s just a hot chick and the photographer was like, “Why not?” If you care about the band, just go listen to an album or find some live concert footage on YouTube or whatever. I can’t imagine looking at a book of pictures of fans of bands I like. God, what would that even look like?

Fandemonium: Against Me: A book of people in faded black looking pissed off because you asked what their gender was.
Fandemonium: Atmosphere: A book full of people looking paranoid that you’re a fucking cop or a pervert. Also of women, and men, talking about how hot Slug is.
Fandemonium: Chuck Ragan: Beards. So many fucking beards.

I don’t know why they made this.
